Accessibility Statement
RemitParse is committed to making our website and application usable by as many people as possible, including those using assistive technologies. This statement describes our current accessibility status, known limitations, and how to reach us if you need assistance.
Our Commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA for our public-facing pages. This includes our landing page, features, FAQ, pricing, signup, and login pages.
What We've Implemented
- Semantic HTML — pages use proper heading structure (H1–H3), landmark elements, and semantic tags so screen readers can navigate meaningfully
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements on public pages (links, buttons, forms) are reachable and operable via keyboard alone
- Skip link — a "Skip to main content" link appears at the top of every page for keyboard and screen reader users
- ARIA labels — navigation, footer, buttons with icon-only content, and form fields include descriptive ARIA labels
- Language declaration — all pages declare
lang="en"so screen readers use the correct pronunciation engine - Color contrast — text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Focus indicators — visible focus styles are present on all interactive elements
- Form labels — all form inputs have associated labels; required fields are marked both visually and programmatically
- Alt text — all meaningful images include descriptive alternative text
- Responsive design — pages reflow correctly at 320px width and when text is resized up to 200%
- No content that flashes — RemitParse does not use flashing or rapidly changing visual content
Known Limitations
We are transparent about areas where accessibility is incomplete:
- The application grid (logged-in users only) — the spreadsheet-style data grid used for coding deductions is built on Handsontable, a third-party component. It has limited screen reader support and does not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. This component is behind a login and paywall and is used exclusively in a B2B professional context. We are monitoring accessibility improvements in future versions of Handsontable.
- Complex tooltips in the app — auto-coding confidence tooltips in the grid may not be reliably announced by all screen readers.
We are actively working to reduce these gaps over time.
Supported Assistive Technologies
Our public pages have been reviewed for compatibility with the following:
- NVDA with Firefox (Windows)
- VoiceOver with Safari (macOS and iOS)
- Keyboard-only navigation (all major browsers)
Third-Party Content
Our public pages include an embedded YouTube video demonstrating the product. YouTube's embedded player includes its own accessibility controls (captions, keyboard navigation). We cannot control the accessibility of YouTube's player interface directly, but the video includes a descriptive title and the page content is fully readable without viewing the video.
